Gyokushodo

Just wanted to let the list know that both Japan Incense and Essence of the Ages have managed to restock the Gyokushodo line, including one new-to-the-US aloeswood incense, Jinko Yozei.

Hi Lionesse. I’d definitely check out the Gyokushodo link for descriptions above, but I definitely like Jinko Yomei, Jinko Hoen, Jinko Kojurin and Kojurin quite a bit with Tokiwa a hair behind. The others are pretty standard low quality sandalwoods, except for the Koin which is kind of hard to place. If I had to start with one it would be tough, but I’d probably take one from any of the Jinkos. Yomei is quite perfumed and very distinct, Hoen much drier and spicier and Jinko Kojurin dense and somewhat musky. Kojurin itself is more of an amber.

I read and re-read… and I am drawn to Jinko Hoen.. and then Jinko Kojurin.. They are a bit pricey for my budget, but I know eventually I will HAVE to try them!

        Hello Lionesse
I Really like the Kojurin, it has a great combination of woods and oils that is rather unique and classic.
I just got in a test sample of the Yozei and will be posting a review later this week, but after one stick I will end up getting a box. Its very nice.
Oh, and the prices are very fair for what you are getting, these are great products at reasonable prices.

Can you suggest your favorites from this line? I would like to try them out.

    Thanks!
