I really enjoy this blog; makes me feel like I’m in on something..

Out of left field: I noticed with many scents (Jinko Juzan from Nippon Kodo, & Syukohkoku from Baido) is the effect that temperature and draftiness have on the scent.

    It’s much like wine.

Thanks Mumon. Couldn’t agree more. Even to this day new environments and situations can subtly change the experience of a particular incense.

Altitude also, not to mention the room size or environment. I remember last summer being in the mountains burning Baieido’s Kun Sho and some others. It was like lighting a different set of sticks. Totally different olfactory experience where i got to discover whole new aspects to them.
And of course ones mental and emotional state, sometimes my normal favorites just don’t seem to smell the same and I become aware that maybe it really was as crazy of a day as i suspected 🙂

Thanks, Mike. It helped ) It definitely is a matter of theme, but I doubt you can fix it on wordpress.com site…

The template I use also doesn’t list the author of any particular entry which is another thing I don’t like about it. But I’m sure I’ll mix it up again some day and maybe all this will work. BTW, I just realized I didn’t have your blog up there, so I just added it.

        thank you!

and i could recommend you to move from wordpress.com to stand-alone blog, there you can do with your theme whatever you want… also all kind of plugins available etc…

    Thanks Laurie!

Leo, I think to view the blogrolls you have to be looking at the links from the homepage. A lot of the link sections don’t seem to show up on individual pages and that includes the company, supplier links and such. I have no idea why, maybe part of the template.

Sorry, can’t see the blogroll… Only Search, Pages, Archives, Categories and Meta blocks…

Awesome, new blogs to check out! (And I’ve finally got around to reorganizing my own links list so you guys have a link back now – although precious few of my readers actually care about incense, I think…)

I care! I started reading yours after searching for more incense reviews. But the anime/manga/fanfic/doujinshi stuff is totally up my alley too! Yaaay!
