Oudimentary Sale for the weekend..Oud and wood for the holiday’s!

Oudimentry is having a sale this weekend. 35% off, which is a great deal. Go check them out. They are also, at least to my knowledge, the only “brick and mortar” store of its kind in the USA.

Be sure to take a look at their videos, they are really well done and very interesting on so many levels. These guys actually go into the agarwood growing areas to get their products. -Ross

Bravo, Joe! The purpose of ORS is for discourse on incense, which is what Ross’s post is about. I understood his language. Oudimentry is a great store; well worth a visit.

Thank you Chris.I think our friend Maharani is well versed in the correct written use of the English language which is highly admirable, however this is not a ‘learn correct written English’ site or forum.
I am considered highly educated however my immigrant peasant father communicated in grunts and noises. No one ever misunderstood EXACTLY his point,(or if they did, they were too scared to say so,ha ha).
I am so grateful to Ross for all the hard work he does to benefit my purchase of incense, his excellent work and information, and also friendliness,as far as I am concerned he can communicate in Swahili of the umboko tribe for all I care,as long as he is doing work which delights my senses into bliss he can use Egyptian hieroglyphics badly, all is fine by me.Isnt the point of language to be understood?
I am against ‘grammar Nazis’ unless the site or forum is titled ‘correct grammar for the Furher!,’.
Unfortunately, being in London,I can find it difficult to take advantage of many international advantages. Also at the moment I am ‘incensed’ and ‘outed’ out in my collection,so very tempted as I am,Mmm.agarwood or 4K 3D giant t.v.?. Difficult choice!

The plural OF “holiday” is “holidays”, not “holiday’s”, which is a possessive form. Much on the web would be taken more seriously if it was proofed before posting. Why do so many people add apostrophes to plurals, incorrectly?

OK-I should have proofed this, but my question still stands.

Maybe because no one cares. The purpose of language is for the other to understand.Spelling, grammar or syntax is irrelevant,to be understood is all that matters.

Yeah let’s refrain from grammar lessons. Not everyone writes English like a native. I agree with Joe that to be understood is all that matters.

Yes,I think we are a bit off message here. The spirit of this site as much as I can sense is to try to be decent and respectful and to enjoy the benefit of our group love of the joy of scent in incense.
There are many things to discuss but grammar and correct English is missing the point of this site.which is the joy and beauty and pleasure of incense and guidance in what is good, bad, indifferent or just personally unique.
I love the fact that people from any part of the world can communicate together, and be guided by only one single thing that links us,a love and, dare I say,an obsession with the joy of incense. At the moment I am delighting myself with some lovely boundary frankincense resin.
I think in my ramblings I try to remember what this site is about, the love and effect of incense and nothing more.
I feel that if grammar,or indeed any subject is important to you then a site or forum on correct English grammar might be the best way to go.
This site has directly created my love and great enjoyment of Tibetan incense, wonderful, incredible.and quite honestly I really could not care less if the guidance on Tibetan incense that has helped me so much was written with the worst English I had ever read.,what do I care?
